Whenever someone clicks through the link on your friend's site to get to you and makes a purchase, you can give your friend a part of the profits or some other service in return. And if you are a larger company, the affiliate program can still help, even if you have a strong customer following. You want to bring in more and more people to your site every day, as the market can change at any time and even the most popular businesses can need help. Any advertising is good advertising when it brings in even more new customers that will buy your products and sign up for your services, right? Affiliate marketing is a great way to spread the word about your website without having to do the promotions yourself.
